HIGH SCHOOL
PEV’s high school activities support girls ages 11–18
as they navigate the challenges of growth and transition.
Through a variety of clubs and social service projects,
participants gain optimism and courage while developing their talents.
Surrounded by friends and mentors, they build leadership skills and a spirit of service
that will guide them into the future.
UNIVERSITY
Through Kintore College, a women’s student residence owned & operated by PEV,
we strive to provide young women with the opportunity to make the most of this time.

Kintore provides a beautiful modern space for students to call home while they pursue their studies. Conveniently located on the University of Toronto St. George campus, our spacious building is complete with living rooms, study rooms, a computer lab, a library, and a classroom
which can be used by both residents and non-residents.
Activities throughout the year include stimulating lectures, study weekends, community service projects, retreats and networking dinners.
ACTIVITIES OFFERED

WEEKdays
Our tutoring program, WEEKdays (Women Encouraging Excellence & Knowledge), founded in 1999, runs yearly from September to June.
Our tutors are young women recruited from local universities and colleges. They are trained to tutor and provide homework support for high school girls, helping them to improve their grades and/or open doors to better post-secondary opportunities.
The university women also serve as role models for high school girls.

Tutoring sessions are held in-person at Kintore College

SMILES
The SMILES program is designed to create a warm, supportive environment where high school-aged girls with developmental disabilities can thrive.
With the guidance of Program Facilitators and the support of a certified Educational Assistant, participants build essential life skills, strengthen their independence, and take part in meaningful community service.

STRIDE (STRIving to DEvelop) Leadership Program
STRIDE is a university leadership program that provides a meeting point for thoughtful discussion on the key questions shaping individuals and culture today.

Through study, reflection, dialogue, and inquiry, STRIDE helps students cultivate intellectual rigor and the ability to engage meaningfully with life’s big questions — from scientific and cultural progress to religion, the economy, and beyond.

The program offers a monthly seminar series, opportunities to participate in the international UNIV Inspire workshop, and access to professional mentoring.
Prom-Edu-Val Society is a registered charitable organization (Charity # 11910-5484) and is governed by
a volunteer Board of Directors who are elected annually. As a non-profit charity we are funded entirely through
